AshwagandhaFeeling good never tasted better! It is so easy to bring the healing of Mother Nature into our busy lives. So often people tell me they want to feel better and would like to do more around the issue of eating healthy but they just don’t know what to do. So, I tell them to drink tea and to sprinkle some goodness into their existing diet. Of course, I want you to eat as healthy as possible with a diet that is heavily plant based and organic but if that’s too much for you than consider these 15 healthy and healing additions to whatever you’re doing.

Herbs: Spice things up with these herbs. They go with almost any food and it’s easy and delicious to add these into what you’re already eating – cayenne Pepper, Cinnamon, Garlic, Ginger, Oregano, Rosemary, and Turmeric. Sprinkle these in or cook them directly with your food. As a bonus, stick a sprig of Rosemary into your pocket and sniff it throughout the day. A recent study just found that sniffing Rosemary regularly can increase your IQ!

Herbal Teas: This simple ingredients can be found almost everywhere.Adding these few herbs into your diet will support your heart, increase blood flow, settle your stomach, improve digestion, and clear your mind. I like to brew a large vat of these (many of them together) and drink these throughout the day either hot, cold, or room temp. Actually, I prefer room temperature as the taste is the most clear and vibrant for me – Ashwagandha, Dandelion (root or leaf), Gingko Biloba, Green Tea, Lavender, Licorice Root (it tastes nothing like the candy), St. John’s Wort, and Spearmint. Brew these either hot or cold. For a hot brew use boiling water and steep for 3 to 4 minutes. Except for the Green Tea. To brew Green Tea use water that is under boiling and only steep for 2 minutes. If you want to cold brew and of these then add them to a large container of water and let them sit in your fridge for 6 to 7 hours.
